November 2025

Lavish Light Project

The Lavish Light Project is an annual global service movement rooted in the transformative power of serving various communities. Our 2025 project was successfully guided by six intentional and impact-driven pillars, we created spaces of kindness, connection, and care from supporting survivors and families, to uplifting classrooms, nourishing communities, and restoring dignity through service.

Each pillar invites people to take meaningful action: whether it's offering kind words to strangers, volunteering at a food bank, reading to children, or providing meals to families in need. This movement is more than just service, it’s about lighting the way toward healing, hope, and collective empowerment, one act of kindness at a time.

We partnered with the app Vida, to create an automated user friendly way for participants of the Lavish Light Project to track and record all of their efforts of service to the community.

The 6 Pillars of Service

Pillar 1

Rooted in Kindness

Shared kind words to 7 strangers per week in November to spread love, kindness, and fellowship unconditionally. Neighbors could not seek anything in return just simply putting a smile on someone’s face.

Pillar 2

Restoring Dignity

We poured back into communities that needed their neighbors, raising awareness to their stories, and acknowledging efforts that support them. The focus community for 2025 was survivors of human trafficking. LLN hosted a clothing drive in support of survivors, all proceeds were donated to Covenant House NYC.

Hands That Serve

Philanthropy is bigger than monetary donations and words of encouragement, it’s also about being intentional and hands on in service. LLNeighbors volunteered at food banks nationwide during November to simply help share meals with those in need. Members central to NYC participated in this effort through God’s Love We Deliver NYC.

Pillar 4

Educational Empowerment

Brought awareness to classrooms heavily affected by the defunding of education in urban communities. Via an amazon wish list LLN gave way for neighbors to purchase classroom supplies for the students of the kindergarten classroom at the elementary school, Kemp Primary School, in Atlanta, Georgia.

Pillar 5

Imagination as Medicine

Shared story times for the soul. Intentionally told stories and spent time with members of their communities that may just need a friend. This idea completely turned into an ongoing service project in NYC. Lady Lavish Noire is working alongside Family Service Society of Yonkers, to grant students reading buddies.

Pillar 6

Grateful Giving

Fed 2 people or 2 families for Thanksgiving. During the holiday season, when many go without, it’s our job as neighbors to give, even in small ways, to show gratitude and continue receiving our blessings by pouring into others.
